How to Change Gender on Facebook App
The following tutorial will work on both iPhone and Android devices.
Step1: Open the Facebook application and tap the three-lined menu.
Step2: Tap on your name.
Step3: Select the “See Your About Info” option.
Step4: Tap the Edit button next to Basic info.
Step5: You can choose Male or Female, then tap the Save option.
If you identify with some other gender, tap the Custom option. Then, enter your gender and select the Save option. You can also describe your preferred pronouns by choosing the relevant option.
You can also update your gender on Facebook using a desktop.
How to Edit Gender on Facebook Web (Desktop)
Step1: Visit the Facebook website with the help of your computer browser and access your account.
Step2: In the upper-left corner, click your profile picture.
Step3: Tap About near Posts, then choose Contact and basic info.
Step4: Tap the pencil icon near Gender under the Basic info header.
Step5: Click the dropdown icon and choose Male or Female.
